Hasan Alican Özbey

Hasan Alican Özbey practises law in Ankara at Özbey Law Office, which his family has run since 1956.

Özbey Law Office was founded in Ankara in 1956 and is run today by the family’s third generation, Attorney Hasan Alican Özbey. Hasan Alican Özbey studied at Özyeğin University Faculty of Law from 2013 to 2016, completed his statutory legal traineeship at the same office in 2016–2017, and has worked as an attorney registered with the Ankara Bar Association since 2017.

Since the day he entered the profession, he has been entrusted by more than 2,000 clients and has taken responsibility for more than 2,500 cases and enforcement proceedings. In every file he has felt the weight of telling a person’s story in the language of the law with great care; this experience is the foundation of his work today.

His work centres on criminal law and labour law files. He also handles court and enforcement files in social security, administrative and enforcement law, and is responsible for client relations and for the administrative and operational management of the office.

He has a good command of English. He is registered with the Union of Turkish Bar Associations (TBB) under no. 136426, the Ankara Bar Association under no. 30989 and the Council of Bars and Law Societies of Europe (CCBE) under no. 90001364262543.

Criminal law and labour law are at the centre of the work of the office and of Hasan Alican Özbey.

In criminal law, the work covers representing clients in investigations and prosecutions, acting for suspects and defendants as well as complainants, victims and intervening parties, and compensation claims arising from criminal cases.

In labour and employment law, mediation and litigation are conducted in disputes such as employee receivables, reinstatement, work accidents and determination of service periods.

In family law, divorce, custody, alimony and matrimonial property disputes are handled.

In administrative law, annulment and full remedy actions against administrative acts and actions, and other disputes with the administration, are conducted.

In real estate law, clients are assisted with land registry cancellation and re-registration, partition of co-owned property, easements of passage and build-and-sell (flat-for-land) agreements.

In lease law, rent determination, adaptation, eviction and unpaid-rent disputes are handled.
